When tradingwas brought up before destinys release they seemed dumbfounded at the prospect, like it was some crazy foreign idea they had never heard of before. i think it may be a bad thing if they did to many ppl will get to powerful to fast and it will just take away from the the game play. Frinds will just give away stuff to ther frinds and just make the game to easy for tham. I don't think trading fits into Bungie's plans for Destiny, which is another reason why Destiny isn't an MMO. I haven't even played the game beyond the first five story missions and some limited exploration on Earth over an afternoon during the beta, so I am not in anyway a fanboy. Really, trading is only needed for two things: interaction (and not even that much, they could fix interaction by adding in-game chat in the Tower, StoryPatrol, or Crucible) and to have something to do with the items you get that aren't for your class. However, if that's fixed (random loot), then there will really be no need for trading, and you can truly tell your friends that you earned it like a badass, like Bungie wanted. I think I have a decent plan to fix many of the loot issues. The higher the level of the enemy, the greater the likelihood of rarer loot drops. Bosses should always drop loot based on the difficulty of mission, in addition to the carnage report rewards. The best players in both PvE and PvP should always get something in the carnage report, based on their excellent performance. Engrams shouldn't be able to be decrypted into something of lower rarity than the engram itself, though the chance of a higher rarity item seems like a refreshing change of pace over most loot-based games and something truly unique. A Gun given to you by a trusted friend is just as interesting as earning one. However, I dont think we should be able to trade glimmer because that would cause a blusterflup of people selling exotics. Every MMO revolves around a particular activity that is the way you build your character. For most MMOs, it's XP and leveling up, so trading items and gear doesn't really affect the gameplay at all since you still have to invest just as much in the main activity. Trading large amounts of XP (e. g. the characters themselves) eliminates the whole point of playing at all. This is why although MMOs like World of Warcraft have in-game auction houses, they ban account trading in the Terms of Use. Destiny is the opposite. The way you build your character is not as much by gaining XP as it is by obtaining and upgrading high-end gear. So if you could buy or trade for better gear without completing any of the more difficult activities, the entire point of playing would be lost. Bungie disallows item trading for the same reason Blizzard disallows account trading: those activities diminish the quality of the player experience by allowing players to completely skip some parts of the game. how exactly can you trade with the vault? any of your characters can access it, that is not trading in any real or meaningfulway. All of a player's Guardians have access to the same Vault, allowing for the transfer of gear and materials between Guardians. using your own weapons is not trading. Technically, it is trading between your own characters, that is. A friend told me in January there will be an update which will allow you to trade, but I'm not sure if it is real. My character has so far had 5 legendary random drops (heck one came from one of the vandals near the spawn of Patrol Cosmodrome) and a one or two as rewards for the lvl 24 strike and weekly heroic strikes. She has had ZERO. When another friend joined us for 3 person fireteam goodness, same thing happened. We each ended up with legendary drops and she has had none.

It's to the point where it's really starting to cast a very dim shadow on her Destiny playing experience. Since my characters don't really need the loot and she does, I think having the ability to gift her a piece of equipment would be very beneficial. Thats an understandable position to be in, and many people probably are in that situation in some form or another, but trading would most likely be an unbalanced answer. People have enough complaints about the loot system, and if anything the way or amount of items are dropped should be changed. A trading system would lead to a poor experience with the game due to leveling up and then reciveing all or a portion of the gear you could work for for free. The trading system could even be exploited as a money making system with people buying and selling items with real currency, especially since people already tried to do that with Atheon checkpoints in the VoG raid. But of course, thats just my opinion. You make some good points KingFish! Plus I must admit that when I deleted my first Warlock to create a new one, I naturally stored all exoticlegendary gear, ascendant and upgrade materials, etc. in the vault. So once I hit 20 with the new one it was like an instant promotion to level 24. Almost felt like I was cheating.

I'd imagine trading would be quite similar. Well here's hoping they get the loot drops tweaked a bit better! Why can't they just restrict it to only items and only allow one per week per character? or just make even value trades. easy. Just face it. Bungie sucks at making games. I played the VoG on hard full run and they only thing I left with were Ascendant Shards & Energy. I felt cheated, especially when some punk kid got TWO weapons from the templar. I mean I'll still play but it is irritating when you are not rewarded for completing the "harder" missionsstrikes.

I can play on the new Roc Strike list for an hour and leave with 2 blue engrams woo. From my days of playing FFXI I think implementing a loot pool that allows players to "lot" on an item may be the way forward rather than trading. It gives everyone the same chance of obtaining the item and if someone doesn't want the item they would have the ability to "pass" on it. Now trading guns would be good, but the people would only put up exotic guns and just trade for other exotic guns, it's could be worth it if people would do a longer range of quality weapons and putting them for trade, which would be nice, it would make it easier for everybody. Destiny is a lose based game if everyone got loot drops that they wanted then it wouldn't be cool.

If they had it so when you got an exotic from a loot drop and they gave you a choice of three and you could only pick one would be really cool like exotic weapon engram. 2-3 different legendarys for 1 exotic you can't trade blues or green or normal for any of the legendarys an exotics for blue items u can trade 2 green for 1 blue an normal can not be tradedan GLIMMER can not I repet not be traded an I think once u reach level 10 you can start trading levels 10-15 15-19 20-20+ I think it kinda fair not trading weak Armor an wepens for the Best an u can only make 2 trades a week?
